Nov. 19, 2011 (Minneapolis) -- FairVote Minnesota couldn’t be prouder to congratulate our advisory council member and democracy advocate extraordinaire Karla Ekdahl, who’s been named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She richly deserves this honor – which she received on Friday, National Philanthropy Day – for her tireless efforts on behalf of FairVote (and numerous other worthy organizations, including the transformative youth develpment program Project SUCCESS).

Karla has been working with us since 2007, following Minneapolis’s successful rollout of RCV, and she’s been integral to all of our achievements since then. An inspired and inspiring change-maker who brings passion, vision and commitment to every cause she undertakes, Karla poses a serious threat to dysfunction and polarization in politics. We – and all Minnesota voters – are lucky to have her on our side!
