GOING TO YOUR SENATE DISTRICT, HOUSE DISTRICT OR COUNTY UNIT CONVENTION?

Don't forget to take IRV with you!

We are aiming to get party endorsements for Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) at the state conventions.

To do this, we need YOUR help to educate convention goers and ask them to vote YES for Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) on the resolution ballot at the upcoming senate district and county unit conventions.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1) Pass out the IRV flyer. Download flyer here (copy back to back).

2) Find the IRV resolution # on the resolution ballot and tell delegates to vote "yes" for this resolution.

3) Collect signatures from supporters - and send the sign-up forms back to us (address on the form). Download sign-up form here.

4) If you would like to set up a table at the convention or help staff one, contact Thomas Leeper at leep0016@umn.edu and he'll help you get it set up.

5) If you live in Saint Paul, the Better Ballot Campaign there is organizing a BIG petition signature collection effort to complete the petition drive. Contact: stpaul@betterballotcampaign.org

THANK YOU to everyone who introduced and supported IRV at precinct caucuses.

We don't have an official count of how many resolutions were passed across the state because this information is difficult to get, but we know they were passed across the state.

Over hundred precinct goers reported back to FairVote Minnesota to let us know that IRV resolutions passed in their precincts. IRV passed in precincts across the state - in alphabetical order:

Afton, Arden Hills, Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Corocoran, Duluth, Eagan, Edina, Eden Prairie, Greenfield Township, Inver Grove Heights, Lake City, Lake Township, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Plainview, Pleasant Township, Plymouth, Red Wing, Richfield, Rochester, St. Louis Park, Saint Paul, Wabasha, Watopa Township and Wayzata!
